9 tart apples
1-3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbl flour
3 Tbl butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Prepare the crust (see
Mom's Pie Crust recipe). Line a 9- or 10-inch pie pan
with crust. Peel and slice the apples. Place the sliced
apples in a bowl; add flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
Mix thoroughly to coat the apple slices. Place the apple
sliced in the lined pie pan. Cut butter into thin slices
and place intermittently over the top of the apples. Place
a second crust over the apples. Seal the edges of the crust
and flute.
Page the pie at 425 degrees for 50 minutes or until the
apples are tender.
